Aerobatic Magic

How do you capture the excitement of the AeroShell Aerobatic Team on paper? It’s not easy, but Sam manages to make these four AT-6 Texans come to life. The aircraft, manned by highly skilled pilots, are zooming across the sky in a diamond formation on their way to a slow roll. The original painting was commissioned by Eastern Aviation Fuels, the nationwide distributor for Shell aviation products.
The 18” x 22.5” prints are available in a Limited Edition size of 100 Signed & Numbered and 10 Artist Proofs. If the print is framed, it will consist of double mats, plaque, and a wood frame.

Amelia's Wheels

SAM’S FIRST PAINTING OF AMELIA! On May 20, 1932, Amelia Earhart took off from Newfoundland, Canada, at 7:12 p.m. in her magnificent red Lockheed Vega. She intended to fly to Paris to copy Charles Lindbergh's solo flight. Her flight was filled with dangers, from rapidly changing weather to a broken altimeter, to gasoline leaking into the cockpit.
When she brought her plane down after 15 hours and 18 minutes (according to one account) she wasn’t in Paris. Instead, she landed in a pasture at Culmore, north of Derry, Northern Ireland. When a farm hand asked, "Have you flown far?" Amelia famously replied, "From America." The site now is the home of a small museum, the Amelia Earhart Centre.
Sam decided to focus on one of Amelia’s most successful flights. That airplane is a beauty and Sam captured her famous face to perfection.
The 16” x 24” prints are available in a Limited Edition size of 250 Signed & Numbered and 25 Artist Proofs. If the paper print is framed, it will consist of double mats, plaque, and a medium brown wood frame.
